MAKING USE OF THE SOUTHWARK NQT APPLICATION WEBSITEWhen you start to complete your application form it is only accessible to you and the site administrator. To create your Application go to: http://nqts.southwark.gov.uk/NQTAppnew.aspIf you wish to stop part-way through, and complete your application later, you can click on 'Save and Exit'. Wait a moment and you will automatically receive an id number which you will need when you are ready to go back to your application to finish it. You can re-open your application to add to it or amend it at any time, (even after you've submitted it), using this id number, so keep a note of it. To re-open go to: http://nqts.southwark.gov.uk/NQT.aspand scroll down to the link that says 'go to your application form'. You will be asked to log back in. It is important that you complete ALL sections of the form before clicking on 'Submit' to show that it's ready for headteachers to see. A symbol visible to the administrator is placed against your name on the list when you click on 'Submit' to show that your application is ready. After a quick check, the site administrator will submit it to the password protected pages accessible to all the headteachers in Southwark. Incomplete forms will not be submitted for headteachers to see. Your personal statement, towards the end of the form is very important. To help you there is an NQT Person Specification on the site. Headteachers are able to read applications and decide which applicants to contact when they have a vacancy. It's a good idea to place your application on the site early in the year, (and remember you can always go in to add to your application later if you wish). Some appointments for September are made during the Spring Term each year, but the majority of vacancies are filled during April, May and early June. Incomplete applications are deleted from the site six weeks after the applicant last added to their form. Finally, please remember to email teacher.recruitment@southwark.gov.uk when you accept a job offer, so that your application can be removed from the headteachers' pages. Good luck in finding the ideal post in which to start your successful teaching career.   |
